Gaffers Tape
Also Known As Gaff Tape, Has A Heavy Cotton Cloth-Backing And Does Not Leave An Adhesive Residue. It Adheres Well To A Variety Of Surfaces, Including Carpet. Gaffer's Tape Is Water- And Heat-Resistant, But Less Conformable Than Duct tape. It Is Often Used To Temporarily Secure Lighting And Cables Without Causing Surface Damage.
